Being unemployed is not only a financial burden, but an emotional and spiritual one as well. I work with unemployed people every day and I know the challenges they face (having dealt with unemployment myself). It's scary, draining, and terrifying if you have a family to take care of.
I have known Jessica since the winter of 2003. We met on Babycenter on one of the First Time Mom message boards. Our sons were born within one day of each other the following September. When I met Jessica she and her husband were poor starving college students. Over the years they had triumphs and trials as they graduated and moved on in life. A couple of years ago, Jessica's husband was unexpectedly employed. While it was stressful, Jessica's entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and she started Utah Deal Diva.
Now Utah Deal Diva is a thriving website and blog, where Jessica helps families all over Utah to save money using coupons. Jessica's journey has led her to meet many people, all struggling to cut costs in a down economy. Her story is inspirational and one that we should all read and apply to our own lives.
