Working out with Chalene Johnson

My brain has been in active visionary idea mode lately.  I have been kind of overwhelmed by the speed of ideas.  I am so excited for 2012!  I have a lot going on this week and a lot of stuff coming.  Then, of course, we had Christmas and all of its joys and activity.  Today I did nothing but read for the morning in order to relax, and then Turbofire 45 and upper body in the afternoon to work off some of the Holiday goodies.  I gained 2 lbs over the past 2 weeks and it is probably entirely sugar and bread. 

Tomorrow, however, is going to be C-R-A-Z-Y!  Why?  Because I signed up my bestie and me for Chalene Johnson's class in Park City!  Chalene Johnson is the creator of TurboJam, ChaLean Extreme, and TurboFire.  She just released her book PUSH, and it jumped to the top of the best-seller lists.  She has been snowboarding up in Park City this week and is teaching classes so I decided, "Why not?" and signed up.  I work out with her doing TurboFire pretty much every week so I know I can keep up.  And if I can't, adrenaline will kick in.  She is really motivational. 

A few months ago Chalene's best friend, Monica Gray, added me as a friend on Facebook.  We have messaged each other back and forth on and off since then.  I appreciate that they are both down to earth people who are full of life and not full of excuses.  And they are both older than me so it isn't like I am modeling my fitness after 20-somethings who haven't had to fight an aging metabolism.  FIT AT 40!  That's my new mantra.  I have about 8 weeks until I hit the big 4-0 and the next phase of my life.  I'm grateful that I have mentors - virtual and literal - who are cheering me on. 



Don't you just want to work out with these two?  I do!  I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow and whether or not I keep up.  My bestie and I will be front and center.
