My story starts with a dream …
I got married at the ripe old age of 30, and was thrilled when I found out I was pregnant two months later.
I had dreamed of being a mom and was starting to think it would never happen. I was excited for the opportunity to be a stay at home mom and join mom groups and go to the park and make doilies, or whatever it was that stay at home moms did.
Then reality hit.

I had a beautiful school for my children to go to, I was on the Parent Teacher Organization, and I was working part time from home. Life was awesome...
Then one day I felt a tug and a pull.
My son kept calling me daily telling me his stomach hurt.
He talked about being bullied.
Trying to keep up with the homework and projects while managing a business was causing major burnout.
I had helped start a charter school!
But I knew that things needed to change and the voice in my head saying, "It's time to homeschool" wouldn't go away.
